John Lennon. Tortured musical genius, husband of the quirky Yoko Ono and now soon to be woken from his peaceful slumber by a pack of psychics conducting a séance with him for a Pay-per-view program.

Yes, you read correctly. On April 24th, a 90 minute special titled “The Spirit Of John Lennon” will air on Pay-per-view in the US displaying what happens when a group of psychics congregate to contact the spirit of the former Beatles member. Seated at the séance table will be the aforementioned psychics, former colleagues of Lennon’s as well as friends, who will spend 30 minutes trying to contact the music icon. Infra-red cameras will be able to “detect” his presence should he chose to make contact.

Another segment of “The Spirit of John Lennon takes us to India, where Lennon often retreated to for other-worldly means. There, a spirit leader will attempt to come into contact with him and record any musical notes and lyrics relayed to him during their outer-body encounter. Subsequently these musical notations (if any are actually obtained) will be flown to Los Angeles where a composer will put them together to form Lennon’s latest musical offering.

One can only wonder whether there will be any credibility whatsoever to this experiment. We’ll just have to wait and see…hmm…
